My daughter saw the ads on tv for this and couldn't wait for it to come out. She loved it and absolutely loves dancing around to the songs. I watched it with her and I have to admit, enjoyed it as well! As soon as it was over she went and got on her "surfer" outfit and is now surfing around the house! Cute movie - recommend for all barbie fans!

Thought for the Day - 15th March 2010

God is present in everyone. He resides in every heart. So, do not confine God to a temple, mosque or church. Where man is, there God is! As you do not realize this, you indulge in the criticism of others. To overcome this habit, enquire within yourself, "Whom do I adore? Whom am I criticizing? " God is present in everyone. So, when you criticize another, it amounts to criticizing yourself. When you love others, you love yourself. Whomever you criticize, it reaches God. Whomever you salute, it reaches God.

The Cove (2009) - OSCAR AWARD WINNER

Whether you're compassionate or not, this documentary will wake you up.
We all need to watch this film and learn from it. Buy a DVD. Then, watch it again and again. There are couple of scenes that I will never forget for the rest of my life.

Dolphins are intelligent mammals that communicate and interact with human beings in a way no other mammals do. They are wild and free. We must leave them as they are. I hear some arguments, "this is our way of life. this is our culture," etc. This is not a strong argument. All civilized people know how to write the wrongs as they learn. The killings could have been the tradition in Taiji, Japan. But the slaughtering of these beautiful and intelligent creature cannot sustain to be a tradition forever.

Dolphins are not farmed animals. The slaughtering of dolphins in Taiji, Japan is like people round up wild wolfs in a corral and slaughter them one by one by spear. They do this almost everyday during the season. Imagine 20,000+ of them a year. It is staggering and horrifying.

We need to spread the news around the world and help stop this abominable act

In a sleepy lagoon off the coast of Japan, behind a wall of barbed wire and "Keep Out” signs, lies a shocking secret. It is here, under cover of night, that the fishermen of Taiji engage in an unseen hunt for thousands of dolphins. The nature
of the work is so horrifying, a few desperate men will stop at nothing to keep it hidden from the world. But when an elite team of activists, filmmakers and freedivers embark on a covert mission to penetrate the cove, they discover that the shocking atrocities they find there are just the tip of the iceberg.

Food, Inc. (2008) - JUST RELEASED - DONT MISS OUT ON THIS ONE...

Food, Inc. lifts the veil on our nation's food industry, exposing how our nation's food supply is now controlled by a handful of corporations that often put profit ahead of consumer health, the
livelihood of the American farmer, the safety of workers and our own environment. Food, Inc. reveals surprising and often shocking truths about what we eat, how it's produced and who we have become as a nation.

I was shocked after watching this documentary based on the industrialized food system. I recommend it to all of my friends because I think everyone needs to know the truth about the food they are consuming. It has changed my life. We now avoid feed-lot meat and buy mostly organics. Every minor change will make a difference. I truly believe that everyone deserves high-quality food and the truth should not be hidden from us. By watching this movie, you will educate yourself and then make your own decisions.
